T O P I C R E V I E WReeseCI have been lurking though a lot of threads lately involving intense aspects such as Lillith/Moon/Mars/Venus/Pluto etc etc, and couldn't help but notice people describing the dynamics of these type if aspects as "intense power struggles". I hope I don't sound too naïve, but what exactly describes a power struggle? I've been married before to a very abusive guy and was often powerless due to him enforcing control from day one; there was no struggle on my end-just a desire for him to love me as I did him. Is that it? Thanks to all who answer......just want to get a better understanding of this. unforgiven_soul quote:Originally posted by ReeseC:I have been lurking though a lot of threads lately involving intense aspects such as Lillith/Moon/Mars/Venus/Pluto etc etc, and couldn't help but notice people describing the dynamics of these type if aspects as "intense power struggles". Houses and angles are very important too. Where the planets of the one fall in the other's houses. The aspects though define the dynamic. Conjunctions, oppositions and squares are the hard aspects and trines and sextiles are the sweet ones. If you study each planet, sign, and house individually it will be easier for you to guess in any combination.AngaCrowleyMy husband and I have several, and we know a thing or two about power struggles. The two main ones we have are his pluto conjunct my mars, and my pluto conjunct his saturn. The fact that he is an Aries and Im a Capricorn means that when those get fired up, neither can back down. It isnt all the time, of course, but when we fight, it's intense. Never violent like this can sometimes warn of, but it can certainly go on, and on. And on, lol. Being the pluto to his saturn, it's taught me a great deal about my own boundaries. I know well how to pick my battles in life, which I think is the lesson of this aspect. When I was younger I didnt let ANYTHING go. Headstrong to the max, Id stand off with anyone over anything. I have also learned how to not back down, when it truly matters. Before, when everything was a fight, it was in the air as to what Id fight to the death for and what I wouldnt; it was more about mood than conviction. Having actual conviction when you stand off makes all the difference, and I have learned that difference well. He was the same. His chart is dominated by mars and pluto, and mine is dominated by saturn and pluto. Both tough charts. We needed that dynamic, I think, otherwise we would have ran right over any 'weaker' partner. Its hard, but this is how we heal. we actually have chiron-venus (his) conjunct chiron (mine) in Taurus in 10th house, opp my venus in scorp -- which is an aspect I actually love.We have some other lovely (but intense; they're all intense lol) aspects too, hence the attraction, love, marriage, and the mars-pluto does bring a certain intensity to our relationship that is hot. But that downside will ALWAYS be a part of our dynamic and I can definitely say that heck yes, you feel it. It does not sound to me like you were in a power struggle dynamic. More like you were not being treated properly ReeseCThat sounds kind of fun, but exhausting and annoying when you're not in the mood to play games. So, is it like a Mr & Mrs Smith of dynamic?Aubyanne quote:Originally posted by ReeseC:That sounds kind of fun, but exhausting and annoying when you're not in the mood to play games. It's an unconscious Plutonian thing ------------------ I seem to have loved you in numberless forms... LeeLoo's Esotericorner

That's actually a great way to look at it.
